INCREASE OF VISA FEES, ABOLISHMENT OF VISA |

 Following the announcement of the 2008 Budget by Honourable Minister of Finance and National Planning on 25th of January, 2008, the Honourable Minister of Home Affairs has to that effect issued a Statutory Instrument increasing the Visa fees by one hundred percent (100%) and abolished the visa waiver facility for tourists.
Reciprocal charges on visas will apply to nationals of the United States of America and Britain. Americans will now be charged US $135 for the single double or multiple entry while the British will be paying ₤ 75 for a single entry and ₤ 240 for double and multiple entry respectively. Note that all other countries that were being charged visa fees on reciprocal basis such as Rwanda, Canada, Angola, Ghana, Nigeria etc will now be charged the general visa fees as indicated in the Statutory Instrument.
