INCREASE OF VISA FEES, ABOLISHMENT OF VISA |

Following the announcement of the 2008 Budget by Honourable Minister of Finance and National Planning on 25th of January, 2008, the Honourable Minister of Home Affairs has to that effect issued a Statutory Instrument increasing the Visa fees by one hundred percent (100%) and abolished the visa waiver facility for tourists. Reciprocal charges on visas will apply to nationals of the United States of America and Britain. Americans will now be charged US $135 for the single double or multiple entry while the British will be paying ₤ 75 for a single entry and ₤ 240 for double and multiple entry respectively. Note that all other countries that were being charged visa fees on reciprocal basis such as Rwanda, Canada, Angola, Ghana, Nigeria etc will now be charged the general visa fees as indicated in the Statutory Instrument. VISA REQUIREMENTS The following should be submitted in support of an application for VISA: 1. A Passport valid for Six months or more from the date of applying for VISA 2. Two (2) recent Passport size Photographs 3. One duly completed VISA form (The form can be obtained from the Mission or the website) 4. Letter of invitation and immigration status from the host in Zambia 5. Photo copy of flight details and current Bank statement 6. Non refundable VISA fee 7.
